Jewelry Class Schedule

All classes are typically $30.00 per class plus material cost.

Classes are scheduled every Tuesday night from 6 pm - 8 pm and Saturday mornings  from 9 am to 11:00 am.  Please be aware that all classes require a reservation in advance and the class fee must be paid in full at the time of registration.  Please call 203-304-9264 or send an email to Lisa@abeadofroses.com to sign up.

Beading 101/ Introduction to Beading/ Wirewrapping

Date: September 4th, Saturday morning

October 9th, Saturday morning 9 am - 11 am

Beginner level

This is an excellent class for beginners or for beaders who need a good refresher on some on the best techniques in the industry.  You will learn to use the hand tools, crimp beads, jewelry wire, crimp cap covers, terminators, spacer bars, attach toggles, learn to do the surgeons knot for elastic wire peices and much more.

Metal Stamping messages onto a sterling silver pendant

Tuesday nights:  9/7 and 9/21/ From 6 pm - 8 pm

Begineer to Intermediate Level

This is one of our most popular classes so we are running it three times on a Tuesday night only.

Come on down and learn how to use handstamping tools to create a personal message into a sterling silver pendant that can be hung off a beaded sterling silver necklace or bracelet. 

$30.00 (includes the sterling silver pendant and an 18 inch ss beaded chain.). These are great gift ideas for the holidays.  Limit of 8 people per class.

Details: Dawn Lombard will be conducting a free demonstration on the art of lampworking using two different types of glass.

Handstamped, Soldered Sterling Silver Bangle

Date: Sept 18th

Time: 8:30 am - 11:30 am

Intermediate level

Class Fee: $40.00 (includes a 7-8 inch sterling silver bangle)

Feel free to make more than one during this class or to drop a charm off the bangle once you finish your peice. This class is very inspiring and is scheduled just in time for your holiday gift giving At this price you can make several bangles at a fraction of the retail price.

Cool Water Lariat by A Bead of Roses

Date: Saturday, 9/25

Time: 9 am - 11 am

Intermediate level

Class Fee: $30.00 plus material cost (average cost $10-$20)

Be ready for compliments when you wear this versatile piece that can be worn as a lariat, double stranded necklace, bracelet or even as a belt!

It take 1.5 hrs to make, feel free to arrive early to pick out your beads or just use the kit we have.

Limit 10 people per class.

BEADWEAVING WITH SEED BEADS AND CRYSTALS

Intermediate level

Introducing a new stitch to our beadweaving series, the flat spiral bracelet.   Our new instructor, Nila, will be facilitating this easy to learn design and this bracelet is gorgeous.  

This is a great class for beginners or for those of you who are ready to learn a new stitch. 

Class fee is $30.00 plus material cost.  ($8-$20.00 on average for materials) Please arrive 15 minutes early to choose your colors before the class starts at 9 am.

Getting creative with color while designing jewelry
